Figure Drawing

I went to a figure drawing open studio over the weekend, it was so nice to go and draw with no agenda or project in mind.

Sunbeam Avenue's Most Wanted...Sneak Peek

I'm currently working on some kick ass album artwork for the band "Sunbeam Avenue's Most Wanted" who are a breakout Australian ska / rock band. It should be nearing completion soon, but this is a sneak peak of some of the artwork til I get the real thing. They've been such an inspiring group to work with and the new album is amazing!

Moving News

I am moving back to Portland this coming weekend. New York was a fantastic adventure, but I'm so glad to be going home. As such, a few things, like my etsy shop will be temporarily inactive while my things are enroute from east coast to west. So if you would like to place an order, please do it before 9am on March 9th. I will reopen the shop as soon as my boxes arrive.
I'm looking forward to catching up with good friends and settling in.

1 Year Anniversary with the City

Today is my 1 year anniversary in moving to New York.
It's been one huge adventure.

Grow, Citizen: Illustration for Sheepless.org

This is a new illustration for Sheepless.org for the piece "Grow, Citizen" written by Scott Ballum. The article is fantastic, and I am always thrilled to be a collaborator with such a devoted, passionate group of individuals.

Pet Giraffe

Charlotte Gainsbourg: IRM

I Heart Charlotte Gainsbourg. Oh so much.
Can we talk about how stellar her new album is? It's amazing. It was co-written and produced by Beck and is such a perfect compliment to her style and voice.
I'm sure you've all seen the youtube music video of "Heaven Can Wait"
the rest of the album was released in the US in late January, and it's been playing on repeat in my studio since then. It's heavenly.

New MySpace Account

I opened up a new MySpace account for illustration and design. I updated the events section with upcoming shows, craft fairs etc. If you're on MySpace feel free to friend me, I'd love to hear from you!

Sketch Rut

Sometimes I hit a drawing rut. I'm working on a handful of larger projects, and I get stuck inside my head with them. To get the ideas flowing again I flipped through a favorite photography book and drew little bits out of the scenes, improvising arrangements and loosening up!
